Removal Liverpool is run by Shaun, who has spent more than five years in house removals and started this company in 2021. What began as a crew of six has grown to more than fifteen this year, on the back of the results and the recommendations that followed them.

That growth is the reason we can say yes when other companies say no. With a fleet of six-plus large Luton vans and enough staff to run several removals at the same time, we take on the moves that are hard to place: a completion date confirmed at short notice, a tight handover window between two properties, or a large house that needs two vans loading at once.

Every mover on the team is DBS-checked and manual handling trained, and we are members of the British Association of Removers. That means our service, insurance and complaints procedure are held to an external standard rather than one we set ourselves.

Before you commit to anything, we go through the move with you properly, and for larger houses we will come out and see the property, so the price we put in writing is based on what is actually moving.

Tell us what is moving and the access at both ends, and for larger houses we will come out and look before we quote. Crew and vans are set to the job, and the price is put in writing. It only changes if what is being moved changes.

Two or more DBS-checked movers with a large Luton van, and a second van and crew when the move needs it. Nothing is squeezed into one trip that should not be.

Furniture protection

Blankets and straps on every load. Beds, wardrobes and tables are dismantled and rebuilt when they need to be, and mirrors, televisions and glass are wrapped before they leave the room.

We supply boxes and packing materials, and can pack part of the house or all of it if you would rather not. Tell us when you book and we will bring what you need.

Packing services

Unloading into the right rooms

Label the boxes by room and we will put them there. Beds and large furniture go where you want them before we leave, so you are not left with everything stacked in the hallway.

Secure storage

If your dates do not line up, we can hold your belongings in secure, insured storage and deliver them when the keys are ready. Storage is covered by its own insurance policy.

How it works

How your house move works, from first message to last box

You will know what is happening at every stage, what it costs and who is turning up. Nothing is left to be sorted out on the day.

   Tell us about your move

   Send where you are moving from and to, the size of the property and your date by phone or the contact form. A provisional date is fine.

2. 2

   A quote in writing

   We go through what is moving and the access at both addresses, and come out to look where the move calls for it. You get a price in writing. It only changes if what is being moved changes.

3. 3

   Boxes, date and access sorted

   Boxes are dropped off ahead of time if you are packing yourself. We hold your date, and where a parking suspension or a lift booking is needed, we arrange it. If completion slips, tell us as soon as you know and we re-plan around it.

4. 4

   Moving day

   The crew arrives at the agreed time, wraps and loads everything, drives it to the new address and unloads into the rooms you have labelled. We do not leave until you have checked where everything is.

Popular dates get booked months ahead. Even so, with a team of 15+ and six-plus vans we can usually fit in a last-minute move when someone has been let down or a date has landed at short notice.

Where we work

House removals across Liverpool, Merseyside and the rest of the UK

Most of our moves start or finish within Liverpool, and that is where the local knowledge pays for itself. We know which city-centre apartment blocks need a lift booked in advance, where a parking suspension is worth arranging with the council, and which terraced streets a Luton van cannot turn in, so we plan the approach before the day.

We also cover the wider Merseyside area, from Bootle and Crosby in the north to Huyton, Kirkby and Knowsley in the east, and across the water to the Wirral.

If you are leaving Liverpool for another part of the UK, or moving here from elsewhere, we do that too. Regular routes include London, Edinburgh and Belfast, and we quote national moves by distance and volume rather than by the day.

How much do house removals cost in Liverpool?

Small local moves with one van and two movers start from £400. Larger houses, longer distances and packing are quoted on the move itself, and the figure we give you is put in writing. The main things that change the price are the volume, the distance, the access at both properties and whether you want us to pack.

Are you insured?

Yes. We hold goods in transit insurance, public liability insurance, employers' liability insurance, commercial fleet motor insurance and storage insurance. If you would like to see the certificates before you book, ask and we will send them.

What does BAR membership mean for me?

The British Association of Removers is the industry body for UK removal companies. Members are vetted on their vehicles, insurance, staff training and how they handle complaints, and are inspected to stay in. In practice it means you are dealing with a company that has been checked by someone other than itself.

How far in advance should I book?

As early as you can, particularly for Fridays, month ends and school holidays, which get booked months ahead. If your date is not confirmed, get in touch anyway. We hold provisional dates while you wait on completion, and with a team of 15+ and six-plus vans we can often fit in a last-minute move when a date lands at short notice.

Do you supply boxes and can you pack for me?

Yes to both. We supply boxes and packing materials for every move, and if you would rather not pack, we can pack part of the house or all of it. Tell us when you book and we will bring what you need and allow the time for it.

What happens if my completion date moves?

It happens more often than people expect. Tell us as soon as you know and we will re-plan around the new date. If there is a gap between leaving one property and getting the keys to the next, we can hold your belongings in secure, insured storage and deliver when you are ready.

Can you move flats and apartments with lifts, stairs or no parking?

Yes, and a large share of our Liverpool moves are exactly that. Before the day we check lifts, stairs, shared entrances and where the van can stand. Where a building needs a lift booking or a street needs a parking suspension, we arrange it before the day rather than discovering the problem on it.

Do you do moves to or from other parts of the UK?

Yes. If your move starts or ends in Liverpool, we can take you anywhere in the UK, with London, Edinburgh and Belfast among our regular routes. Long-distance moves are priced by distance and volume, and we plan whether the job is done in one day or over two.
